Welcome to Destiny's Dachshunds located in Mississippi. I came to love the dachshund breed when I was a child. My mother loved and raised miniature dachshunds for about 20 years. She passed her love for the miniature dachshund on to me. They are a loving and loyal animal. They may be small but their loyality matches that of a big dog. They love to be around people and by nature are not aggressive animals. This makes them a great choice of pet for families with children. Miniature dachshunds are a little dog with big personality. They are playful but not hyper. They do great with or without a yard to play in.
The dachshund is a breed native of Germany and were bred for hunting badgers. They exhibit three different coat types: smooth, long, and wire. Dachshunds have a wide variety of colors and patterns. Patterns include solid, dapple (merle in other breeds), piebald, sable, and brindle. The colors that dachshunds come in are, but not limited to: black and tan, chocolate and tan, red, wild boar, creme, blue and tan, isabella (fawn) and tan, and wheaten.
All of my Dachshunds are now AKC registered. My babies are sold with AKC limited registration unless otherwise decided prior to purchase.
